2025 October Program: Chrysanthemum Challenge Workshop
This year’s Team Challenge features a mantel arrangement that includes live flowers and greens. In addition, we are following up on an outstanding spring 2025 presentation by encouraging faux florals to be included in the mantel arrangement. Medium size – 8” to 18”; easily placed on a fireplace mantel, one-sided view. Containers, flowers, greens and some faux floral items will be provided by Red Hill. Members may also bring faux floral items for possible inclusion in the arrangement challenge. Members are to bring their own arranging tools (clippers).Participating members will receive credit for an arrangement. The judge will provide an audible judging experience.

Exhibits: CLASS: College Reunion theme and colors; Creative Mass/medium (8-18″) in a college’s drinking vessel; accessories allowed; use contemporary container; plant materials are limited in variety; color is bold with contrasts in texture; like color flowers placed in groups, called “color blocking”; asymmetrical balance. OPEN: Small Early Colonial (5-8″); no accessories, simple charming mixed bouquets of contrasting flowers and herbs; appropriate containers include earthenware pitchers, bean pots, glass bottles, pewter mugs or bowls; native plants, wildflowers, herbs; warm, bright, contrasting colors

2025 May RHGC Entry in the Beverley Hills Garden Club NGC Standard Flower Show – Honorable Mention . Enchanted Garden. Division II: Design Section B: Where Flowers Dance Class 1. Some Enchanted Evening. Club Competition Award. A Functional Semi-Formal Table for Four or more set for actual food service. A decorative unit (floral design with/without candles and other accessories) must be included. More than on (1) exhibitor from each club must participate. Staged on a 60′ round, 30″ high table covered with a white cloth (HB page 76).
